As a high school sophomore I auditioned for the school play: Oklahoma! Having no theatrical experience, I was given one line. However, decades later, I still remember both words. Having knelt over the body of a just shot cowboy, I was to lift my head and cry in desperation. "He's daid!" Not, "He's dead," but "He's d-a-i-d, daid!" Others might resent such a diminutive role. I didn't. Were my words not essential? Someone has to announce death on stage. I poured my soul into that line. Rogers and Hammerstein would have been proud.

But, of course, they never knew. When they wrote their story, they didn't have me in mind. But when God wrote his, he did. He saw you, as well. He picked out your part. He wrote your lines. He staged your life. Don't miss out on your part in His play.
