08 Believe and Receive - 316 The Numbers of Hope (MP3)Jesus invites you to believe in Him. Have the heart of a child, the trust of a toddler. Believe and receive. “Let the little children come to me. Don’t stop them, because the kingdom of God belongs to people who are like these children. I tell you the truth, you must accept the kingdom of God as if you were a little child, or you will never enter it.” (Mark 10:14-15 NCV). Of all the role models at his disposal, Jesus chose children. Christ points to youngsters as the supreme example of kingdom people. He bypasses religious leaders and honest wage earners. He makes no mention of devoted mothers or compassionate physicians. The role model for the human race is barely out of diapers and has cheeks covered with chocolate. Why a child? A child can believe. Numbers 21:5-8 1. The poisoning: Snakes in the camp 2.
